Overview GLaden miq²
The GLADEN MIQ² is an exceptionally compact 2-channel Class D amplifier designed for hassle-free car audio upgrades. With dimensions of just 79 × 90 mm and a height of 37.5 mm, it can be installed even in places where there’s hardly any room for a traditional power amplifier—for example, behind trim panels, under a seat, or in existing cavities in the vehicle.
With 2 × 65 watts RMS at 4 ohms or 2 × 120 watts RMS at 2 ohms, the MIQ² is particularly well-suited for upgrading a front speaker system or adding an additional pair of speakers. The Class-D circuitry keeps power consumption and heat generation low despite the compact design.
For integration into factory systems, the speaker signal from the existing radio can be connected directly via the high-level input (up to 15 volts). This eliminates the need for an additional high-to-low converter in many applications. Power-on is controlled either via remote or auto sense.
The integrated filter section allows operation as a high-pass, full-range, or low-pass filter. The high-pass and low-pass cutoff frequencies can be set between 40 and 250 Hz. The additional 2-channel low-level output allows the audio signal to be routed to another amplifier—for example, if the system is to be expanded with a subwoofer at a later date.
