The MOSCONI MIC is an internal expansion card that adds a dedicated microphone input to compatible Mosconi digital signal processor (DSP) models. The card expands the DSP with the necessary analog microphone input stage, enabling direct processing of microphone signals within the system.
The card installs directly into the processor's designated slot and integrates fully into the signal flow. This eliminates the need for external preamplifiers or additional adapter solutions. The DSP handles signal processing and routing entirely.
Additionally, the MOSCONI MIC is the fundamental hardware component of the Gladen-Mosconi "BARNIE" measurement system. Without this expansion, the measurement system cannot operate because the required microphone input at the DSP level is missing.
The MOSCONI MIC is designed for specific DSP models with expansion slots and can only be used in intended devices.
